Baiyunshan Zhongyi Pharmaceutical Company has always built business according to the purpose of "always caring about consumers' health" in more than 300 years. The company inherited ancient receipts such as Angong Niuhuang Pill and Bao Ying Pill, and also launched new special effective medicines including Zhongyi Xiaoke Pill and Wei Nai An. Zishen Yutai Pill maybe has not so long history, but its producer Luo Yuankai, the first Chinese medicine professor in China and the Lingnan gynecology master, are in the interpretation of "Xinglin Legend".

Luo Yuankai was born to a literary family in Naihai of Guangdong. He followed his father to learn Chinese medicine in his childhood, and then was called "doctor kid". In 1935, Luo Yuankai graduated from Guangdong Chinese Medicine Vocational School at the top of his school, and then practiced medicine in Guangzhou, Hong Kong and etc. Since New China was established in 1949, He had actively worked hard to revitalize Chinese medicine. He took office as the schoolmaster of Guangdong Chinese Medicine Vocational School when he was 36 and then as the president of Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Chinese Medicine Vocational School. In 1977, he became the first Chinese medicine professor in China. He witnessed Chinese medicine rise or decline in recent a century and devoted his life to Chinese medicine education, as a educator of Chinese medicine.

Professor Luo Yuankai was  adept in Chinese Internal Medicine, Gynecology and Pediatrics, and especially in Gynecology. He proposed a famous academic viewpoint that "Kidney-Menstruation-Chong and Ren Meridian-Uterus" is female reproduction regulator axis. He focused on Qi and Blood in Kidney and Spleen, and thought since Kidney is in charge of the congenital constitution and Spleen runs the acquired constitution, Qi and Blood will be vigorous if the congenital constitution harmonizes with  the acquired constitution. The characters of female reproduction are mainly menstruation and pregnancy, which have the direct relationship with the boom and bust of Qi in Kidney, and thus patients who suffer from menopause, infertility or habitual abortion always have the appearance of kidney deficiency.

Lots of elder Guangzhou people all know Luo Yuankai's "Songzi Guanyin" reputation (Avaloktesvara who can send children to parents). Regulating menstruation, assisted  reproduction and miscarriage prevention are his three "Fa Bao" (wonder-working magic). He often led disciples to form a medical team to work in the countryside, serving for impoverished farmers who always surrounded them closely and "followed them even when they were in washroom". Some farmers followed him to Guangzhou and even to his home for the further treatment. Thus his home was constantly crowded, and among them there were both top officials and common people, who were treated equally by Luo Yuankai. Because the house of Luo' family was just 30 square meters in the latter part of the "Cultural Revolution", patients couldn't push into the room and had to stand at the stairs nearby, but they didn't want to leave and were eager to "be checked by Doctor Luo".

Zishen Yutai Pill was developed with additional medicine by Professor Luo Yuankai on the base of classic prescription Shoutai Pill and through his clinic experience and academic study. He used "methods of tonifying kidney" on "regulating menstruation, assisted  reproduction and miscarriage prevention" to cure infertility, threatened abortion and habitual abortion. Zishen Yutai Pill has offered good news for many families since it came to market. In 30 to 40 years, Zhongyi Pharmaceutical Factory received countless thank-you notes and babies' photos. One of notes was wrote by Song Yuping coming from Hebei, who had been pregnant six times in her five-year-marriage life but always aborted in the first three months or three and a half months of pregnancy.
