On the afternoon of April 24, Li Xi, Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the CPC and Ren Xuefeng, Deputy Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the CPC accompanied a Gansu delegation led by Tang Renjian, Governor of Gansu Province and Zhang Shizhen, Vice Governor of Gansu Province, to visit Guangdong’s pharmaceutical enterprise GPHL.

In the next few years, GPHL will follow the instructions given by Li Xi and Ren Xuefeng during the visit, and further promote high quality development, so as to make it onto the Fortune Global 500 list by 2020.

The visit took place after GPHL signed two strategic cooperation agreements with Gansu Province during the Gansu Investment Promotion Conference at Zhudao Hotel in Guangzhou on the morning of April 24. The conference aimed at strengthening win-win cooperation between Gansu and Guangdong provinces and was attended by over 200 representatives of well-known enterprises in Guangdong.

One cooperation agreement between GPHL and Gansu provincial government is mainly about the plantation of Chinese medicinal herbs, exploration of health industry, technical cooperation of TCM quality, construction of health care service system, and so on.

The other one between GPHL’s subsidiary corporation Guangzhou Caizhilin Pharmaceutical Company Limited and Gansu Food and Drug Administration as well as Longxi County government is mostly about the foretaste of new TCM, formulation of TCM quality standard, establishment of R & D center, development of planting base, and so on.

This is GPHL’s third cooperation agreement with a province, after Yunnan and Sichuan.

GPHL is one of the key investment enterprises for Gansu Province which is a key province for GPHL’s market layout in northwest China. Gansu is one of the cradles of TCM and one of the major producing areas of traditional Chinese medicinal materials in China; besides, Lingnan TCM is distinctive and leads the nation in industry scale, therefore Guangdong and Gansu enjoy solid basis for cooperation regarding TCM, said Li Chuyuan.
