Recently, the People's Government of Guangdong Province commended the winners of the 22nd WIPO-CNIPA Award for Chinese Outstanding Patented Invention & Industrial Design and the 8th Guangdong Patent Award. Two subsidiaries from Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited (GPHL) were honored on the list, namely, Guangzhou Chenliji Pharmaceutical Factory and Guangzhou Baiyunshan Xingqun Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.

The fully-automatic pill conveying machine designed by Guangzhou Chenliji Pharmaceutical Factory is controlled by a variable-frequency motor and a control panel. It has the advantages of advanced structure, novel appearance, fully-enclosed structure, easy cleaning, variable-frequency control of motor speed, and safe and convenient operation. It can be combined with all kinds of pill manufacturing equipment, realizing the maximum speed of conveying 1,500 pills per hour.

The TCM medicine effective component for treating influenza virus and its preparation process created by Guangzhou Baiyunshan Xingqun Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. also won the China Patent Award this year. With a sweet taste and aromatic fragrance, the company's product Xiasangju has the effect of clearing heat and detoxicating, highlighting 10 related invention patents. In 1980, the company originated Xiasangju, conducting large-scale production and has continued for 30 years.

Established in 1989, China Patent Award is co-organized by CNIPA and WIPO, including China Patent Gold Award, Silver Award and Excellence Award, as well as China Design Gold Award, Silver Award and Excellence Award, in a bid to encourage and cite those patentees and inventors who contribute significantly to technology (design) innovation and socio-economic development.
